PAO Authentic Local Trekking: Rice Terraced Fields & Fansipan 1-day

In the morning at around 8am, our local guide will find and meet you at your hotel in Sapa or at a meeting point in the center of Sapa. After a quick greeting and introduction to the trip, your local guide will lead and introduce you to the whole of Sapa, go down about 2 km to get out of Sapa town to the head of a bamboo forest of local people, a wonderful view overlooking the entire valley and Muong Hoa stream along with beautiful terraced fields. After you have taken the photos you want with the terraced fields with a panoramic view from the mountain, we will continue to walk through the bamboo forest for about 25 minutes to the head of  Y Linh Ho village. You will be able to witness the panoramic view of terraced fields with hundreds of years old created by the hands of the people passed from generation to generation, along with traditional houses hidden on the hillside, and our guide will tell you about how they create going to the terraced fields on the mountainside. You will also be surprised and admire their skillful hands to help you take wonderful photos with terraced fields. Continue to the center of Y Linh Ho village, you will be able to visit and experience with a local guide to visit the traditional houses of the people. You will see and hear about the simple life of helping each other, the peace of the countryside, the simple and peaceful life that you have not seen in the city.

After visiting the traditional houses, you will continue to walk about 20 minutes to the local ethnic restaurant to enjoy your lunch with traditional dishes in the village of all kinds, including dishes if you are a vegetarian.

After lunch, you will continue to Lao Chai village to visit the village to see the indigenous Black Hmong people make ethnic clothes with flax, how they dye clothes with natural indigo, and how the Black Hmong people draw wax to create unique types of brocade.
At Lao Chai village, our car will wait for you and take you back to Sapa center to experience the longest and most modern 3-day cable car to reach the roof of Indochina, Fansipan Mountain, at an altitude of 3,143 meters above sea level, to enjoy the spectacular scenery. Reaching the altitude of 2800 meters, you have a good time to see the view and take photos, visit pagoda the spiritual destinations and trek up to 600 steps you will reach the peak of Fansipan – the Roof of Indochina. (Spend about 1.5 hours for hiking and taking photos). Return back to Cable Car Station and return to Sapa town about 4 pm.

This tour is for groups of 2 to 6 people. The price is 100 USD per person.

Here’s how it works:

– We will tell you a day before your tour how many other people will be joining you.

– If nobody else joins your tour, you will have a private tour (just you) for an extra 20 USD (which you will need to pay then).

Sapa Local Guide cancellation policy

6+ days prior tour start date: 100% reimbursement of the tour price (no cancellation charges)
2 to 5-days prior tour start date: 50% reimbursement of the tour price
1 day before or same day of tour start date: no reimbursement

Bus From Hanoi to Sapa (Optional)

This is an optional extra.

The bus ride to Sapa takes about 6 hours. If you get to Sapa earlier than planned, you can wait at the bus station or on the bus itself until 5:00 am.

We have three bus options:

  • Sleeper Bus: This is a good choice if you’re on a budget and don’t mind sharing some space. Plus, the beds can be adjusted if you’re a bit taller.
  • Cabin Sleeper Bus: This is a more private option with a private cabin.
  • Single Cabin Sleeper Bus: This is also a private cabin, but for just one person.

Whichever option you choose, once we receive your booking, we’ll confirm it and send you your bus tickets!

Bus Price

Cabin Sleeper Bus (30 USD each way): This option has a private room with 2 bunk beds, perfect for couples or anyone who wants privacy.

Single Cabin Sleeper Bus (20 USD each way): This is a private room with just one bed, ideal for solo travelers who want some peace and quiet.

Sleeper Bus (15 USD each way): This is the most affordable option. You’ll have a single bed in a shared space.
