Join us for a trek through Sapa rice fields! Our friendly local guide will lead you through villages of three different ethnic groups: the Hmong, Giay, and Red Dao people.

This adventure will take you through stunning mountain scenery and by Sapa’s most important river and valley. You’ll see the famous rice terraces up close and learn about the culture, customs, and traditions of two of Sapa’s main ethnic groups.

Your guide will show you all sorts of interesting things, like the Hmong people special way of getting married, how they build their houses, and the techniques they use to work in the rice fields. Get ready for a fun and educational experience in Sapa 1 day tour.

Sapa Trekking Adventure: From Y Linh Ho to Lao Chai to Ta Van Villages

Join us for a fun and exciting trek through the beautiful countryside of Sapa! You’ll walk past rice fields, mountains, and meet local people from different ethnic groups.

Tour Details:

Start time: 9:00 AM

Meeting point: Your hotel in Sapa Town or in front of the Stone Church

What you’ll do:

Your friendly local guide will meet you and explain the plan for the day.

You’ll take a short walk or car take you from Sapa to the starting point of the trek at Y Linh Ho village, home of the Black Hmong people.

From there, you’ll walk through beautiful rice terraces and along the peaceful Muong Hoa Valley.

You’ll stop for lunch at a small local restaurant in Lao Chai village. The food is made by a Hmong family and is very tasty!

After lunch, you’ll continue walking to Ta Van village, where the Giay ethnic group lives.

Along the way, your guide will tell you interesting stories about the culture, clothes, and daily life of the local people.

At the end of the trek, a car will pick you up in Ta Van and take you back to Sapa Town, arriving around 3:30 PM.

Price for a group tour

This tour is for groups of 2 to 6 people. The price is 35 USD per person.

Here’s how it works:

– We will tell you a day before your tour how many other people will be joining you.

– If nobody else joins your tour, you will have a private tour (just you) for an extra 5 USD (which you will need to pay then).

– If there are other people joining you, but there are fewer than 2 people total, there will be no extra charge.

Sapa Local Guide cancellation policy

6+ days prior tour start date: 100% reimbursement of the tour price (no cancellation charges)
2 to 5-days prior tour start date: 50% reimbursement of the tour price
1 day before or same day of tour start date: no reimbursement

Bus From Hanoi to Sapa (Optional)

This is an optional extra.

The bus ride to Sapa takes about 6 hours. If you get to Sapa earlier than planned, you can wait at the bus station or on the bus itself until 5:00 am.

We have three bus options:

  • Sleeper Bus: This is a good choice if you’re on a budget and don’t mind sharing some space. Plus, the beds can be adjusted if you’re a bit taller.
  • Cabin Sleeper Bus: This is a more private option with a private cabin.
  • Single Cabin Sleeper Bus: This is also a private cabin, but for just one person.

Whichever option you choose, once we receive your booking, we’ll confirm it and send you your bus tickets!

Bus Price

Cabin Sleeper Bus (30 USD each way): This option has a private room with 2 bunk beds, perfect for couples or anyone who wants privacy.

Single Cabin Sleeper Bus (20 USD each way): This is a private room with just one bed, ideal for solo travelers who want some peace and quiet.

Sleeper Bus (15 USD each way): This is the most affordable option. You’ll have a single bed in a shared space.
