Detailed itinerary of local Sapa tour guide

Sapa Adventure: Villages, Mountains, and Rice Terraces (Day 1)

Get ready for an amazing adventure! Our tour starts at 9:00 am. Your friendly local guide will meet you at your hotel in Sapa Town, or you can meet in front of the main church if that’s easier.

After a quick hello, we’ll hop on a ride for 2 kilometers to Cat Cat village, a famous spot where the Hmong people live. From there, we’ll cross a cool hanging bridge over the Muong Hoa River and then start climbing up into the mountains. Keep your eyes peeled for a beautiful bamboo forest along the way!

Get ready for breathtaking views! We’ll reach a high point where you can see some of the biggest and most stunning rice terraces in all of Vietnam. The majestic Hoang Lien Son mountains will also be there to impress you.

Feeling a bit hungry after all that exploring? We’ll head down to Y Linh Ho village for lunch at a cozy, traditional restaurant run by a local Hmong family. Yum!

After lunch, we’ll continue our adventure to Lao Chai village. This is a big deal – it’s one of the oldest and biggest Hmong communities around!

Next, we’ll walk to Ta Van village, where we’ll be staying overnight. Here, you’ll meet people from the Giay and Hmong ethnic groups. Depending on the season, you might even see them planting or harvesting rice in the fields! Our guide will explain the cool differences between these unique cultures.

After checking in, you’ll have some free time to relax, take a refreshing hot shower, and get ready for dinner. Feeling adventurous? You can even join an optional cooking class with your host to learn how to make a delicious local meal!

Day 2: Explore Giang Ta Chai and Head Back to Sapa (9 or 10 km, around 5 hours)

Start your day with a refreshing cup of coffee or tea! After breakfast, get ready for a scenic walk uphill. We’ll follow a trail leading us to the cool waterfalls of Giang Ta Chai.

Next, we’ll enter the village of the Red Dzao people. Your local guide will be there to share interesting facts about their unique culture and daily life. You’ll even get to visit a Red Dzao family’s home!

After our visit, we’ll take a different path back to the waterfalls, crossing another exciting hanging bridge!

Ready for lunch? We’ll enjoy a delicious meal at a small, local restaurant run by a Hmong family right in Giang Ta Chai village.

After lunch, it’s time to head back to Sapa Town. Our bus will be waiting to take you comfortably back.

The adventure ends around 3 pm in Sapa. This gives you plenty of time to book a bus ticket back to Hanoi or explore Sapa a bit more before your departure.
