Detailed itinerary of local Sapa tour guide

Sapa Rice Terrace Trekking Tour (Y linh Ho, Lao Chai and Ta Van Route)

The tour begins at 9:00 AM. Our local guide will meet you at your hotel in Sapa Town or in front of the main church.

After a short introduction, you’ll be driven about 2 kilometers down to the starting point near Cat Cat Road – an area familiar to the Black Hmong community.

From there, you’ll walk across the hanging bridge over the Muong Hoa River and follow the trail that leads uphill into the mountains. Along the way, you’ll be treated to stunning views of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range and some of the most beautiful terraced rice fields in Vietnam.

Your first stop will be Y Linh Ho village, home to the Black Hmong people. Here, you’ll enjoy lunch at a small local restaurant run by a Black Hmong family, offering a great opportunity to try traditional food.

After lunch, the trek continues through the rice fields to Lao Chai village, where you’ll experience more of the Black Hmong culture and daily life. From Lao Chai, you’ll head to Ta Van village home to the Giay ethnic group.

As you walk through these peaceful villages, your guide will share insights into the customs, traditional clothing, and unique ways of life of the local ethnic groups.

The tour ends around 3:30 PM in Ta Van, where a car will be waiting to take you back to Sapa Town.

If needed, you can arrange a bus from Sapa to Hanoi or your next destination after the tour.
