Authentic Experience of Sapa
Our adventure starts in Sapa town! We’ll hike with a local guide up to a viewpoint (mountain view) that’s almost 2 kilometers (1,800 meters) above sea level. From there, you’ll get a stunning panorama of Sapa town nestled in the beautiful landscape. But that’s not all! You’ll also be able to spot Fansipan Mountain, the tallest peak in Indochina, towering at an impressive 3,143 meters!
The fun doesn’t stop there! This trip will take you to see Sapa’s biggest river and valley. Get ready to peek down into the majestic Muong Hoa Valley. And guess what? You’ll also get to see the famous rice terraces of Muong Hoa Valley, some of the most impressive in all of Vietnam!
We’ll also visit villages like Hang Da and Hau Thao, where the Black Hmong people live. Your guide will share some cool facts about the Hmong people’s unique wedding traditions, how they work their rice fields, and even their house building techniques. Ready for an unforgettable adventure in Sapa? This one-day tour is perfect for curious explorers like you!
Pick-Up in Sapa: We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Sapa town, or you can meet us at the stone church in the center it’s a famous and easy-to-find spot! After a quick introduction, we’ll begin a gentle hike up a mountain trail with beautiful views along the way.
Sa Seng Mountain & Fansipan Views: After about an hour of hiking, we’ll reach the top of Sa Seng Mountain. From here, you’ll see breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, including the legendary Fansipan the highest peak in all of Indochina! You’ll also spot the peaceful Muong Hoa Valley and its stunning rice terraces stretching across the hills.
Hang Da Village & Local Life: We’ll continue our journey downhill to Hang Da, a quiet Black Hmong village. As we walk, look out for buffaloes, pigs, chickens, and other animals that are part of everyday village life. Your guide will share insights into the traditions and lifestyle of the Hmong people.
Lunchtime in the Mountains: We’ll enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by a local Hmong family a cozy and authentic experience! Take a short rest, breathe in the fresh air, and get ready for more exploration.
Hiking to Hau Thao Village: After lunch, we’ll hike along small paths to Hau Thao, another traditional Hmong village. Depending on the time of year, you might see locals working in the rice fields, either planting or harvesting. Your guide will tell you all about Hmong culture from their unique clothing and house building to marriage customs and farming practices.
Ending in Giang Ta Chai & Return to Sapa: We’ll wrap up our hike in Giang Ta Chai village, where our vehicle will be waiting to take us back to Sapa town. We’ll return around 3:30 PM, giving you time to relax, shop for souvenirs, or prepare for your next adventure maybe even a bus ride back to Hanoi!

This tour is for groups of 2 to 6 people. The price is 45 USD per person.
Here’s how it works:
– We will tell you a day before your tour how many other people will be joining you.
– If nobody else joins your tour, you will have a private tour (just you) for an extra 15 USD (which you will need to pay then).
– If there are other people joining you, but there are fewer than 2 people total, there will be no extra charge.
6+ days prior tour start date: 100% reimbursement of the tour price (no cancellation charges)
2 to 5-days prior tour start date: 50% reimbursement of the tour price
1 day before or same day of tour start date: no reimbursement
This is an optional extra.
The bus ride to Sapa takes about 6 hours. If you get to Sapa earlier than planned, you can wait at the bus station or on the bus itself until 5:00 am.
We have three bus options:
Whichever option you choose, once we receive your booking, we’ll confirm it and send you your bus tickets!
Cabin Sleeper Bus (30 USD each way): This option has a private room with 2 bunk beds, perfect for couples or anyone who wants privacy.
Single Cabin Sleeper Bus (20 USD each way): This is a private room with just one bed, ideal for solo travelers who want some peace and quiet.
Sleeper Bus (15 USD each way): This is the most affordable option. You’ll have a single bed in a shared space.
