Detailed itinerary of local Sapa tour guide

Day 1 – 14 km Trek
We begin our adventure with a 3 kilometer hike to Suoi Ho Village, home to the Hmong ethnic group. As you walk, enjoy panoramic views of terraced rice fields and see some of the animals that local farmers use in their daily work.
From Suoi Ho, we continue trekking to Matra Village, where you’ll come across the fascinating ruins of a nunnery dating back to the French colonial period in the early 1900s.
Our final destination for the day is Ta Phin Village, where both Hmong and Red Dao communities live. The Red Dao are well known for their traditional herbal medicine, using forest plants to treat various health issues. Your guide will introduce you to Red Dao women who will share their knowledge and practices.
In the evening, enjoy a warm dinner by an open fire in a Red Dao family’s home. You’ll also have the chance to relax with a traditional herbal bath before settling in for a peaceful overnight stay in the mountains.
Day 2 – 10 km Trek
Wake up to the sounds of the countryside perhaps a rooster or a curious pig nearby. After breakfast, we continue the trek toward Trung Chai Village. Depending on the weather and your fitness level, your guide may suggest different trail options for the day.
Trung Chai is home to both Red Dao and Hmong people and offers incredible natural scenery throughout the route. Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch along the way before arriving in the village.
From Trung Chai, our transport will be waiting to take you back to Sapa Town, bringing your two day Sapa local trekking experience to a close.
